Since its inception in 1935, the Ohio State Law Journal has been promoting and advancing discussion on the legal issues of the day through its traditional print journal format. The inaugural issue of the Journal included an excerpt from former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio, Carl Weygandt, in which he stated the Journal presents a “splendid opportunity for intellectual discussion of the many extremely important questions now troubling the profession of the law.”1 Chief Justice Weygant urged that the Journal:
[S]hould with equal zeal champion new ideas and new institutions that appear reasonably certain of meeting the expending needs of a constantly changing people. We must encourage and develop both our willingness and our ability to separate these questions from the turbid mixture of contemporaneousness with which so many of them have been clogged.2
On April 19th, 2012, the Ohio State Law Journal launched Furthermore, which serves as a complement to, and extension of, the Journal’s longstanding print publication. Furthermore emerged out of the Journal’s goal to meet the lofty challenge posed by Chief Justice Weygant.
