The Moritz Education Law Society at The Ohio State University was founded to raise awareness of issues centering on the intersection of law and education. We promote professional interactions between the students of the Moritz College of Law and the education community at large. In fulfilling our goals, we hope to enlighten and inspire our members and provide them with important networking opportunities.
Throughout the school year, members are encouraged to take on leadership roles in planning our events, which range from off-campus networking activities to on-campus panel discussions and debates. They are also able to participate in the ELS pilot program, Law4Life. Participants of Law4Life conduct standards-based, activity-focused civics lessons in local classrooms to provide students with the opportunity to analyze the role of law in their lives.
Over the summer, ELS works to coordinate internships and shadowing opportunities for fellow members with regional and national lawyers in the field of education law.
