American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
2009-10 Contact: Jennifer Delaney Nielsen
The American Civil Liberties Union is dedicated to protecting and expanding individual liberties to build an open and equitable society as provided for in the Constitution. The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty.
This Chapter, which represents itself in a way consistent with the mission and views of the ACLU, provides a unique forum for law students to acquaint themselves with current civil liberty issues. As a non-partisan organization and a Chapter of ACLU of Ohio, we focus on issues such as advocacy, facilitating educational activities, and monitoring civil liberties on campus.
Members have an exceptional opportunity to work in tandem with the ACLU of Ohio by mobilizing around important issues, hosting seminars and forum discussions, and planning other activities that promote and protect civil liberties.
