Advocates for Children

Advocates for Children welcomes all student members interested in supporting and promoting quality child advocacy. While enabling law students to network with current professionals serving the child population, AFC also strives to bring attention to the legal issues facing today's children.

The AFC hosts fundraising activities; presents guest speakers, such as Yvette McGee Brown (’85), the President of the Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Children's Hospital; publicizes career and internship opportunities and sponsors lunchtime panels, such as the discussion, "Jobs in the Children's Law Field."

Advocates for Children has participated in the Juvenile Law Seminar. Through its work, AFC has established itself as an organization committed to bringing together students who endeavor to work in the field of children's law.
