  • Join us for the 2016 Buckeye football tailgates

    Join The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law for two alumni tailgates this fall before heading to Ohio Stadium to catch the Buckeyes take on Rutgers and Nebraska. The first tailgate is scheduled for Oct. 1 from 9-11:30 a.m. on the Drinko Hall front lawn. The Buckeyes take on Rutgers at noon. The second tailgate will take place on Nov. 5 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Moritz College of Law's Barrister Club. Kickoff against Nebraska is at 8 p.m. For more information, or to register, click here.

  • Nimesh Patel ’95 named new director of diversity and inclusion at WilmerHale

    Nimesh Patel ’95 has joined Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr as the firm’s director of diversity and inclusion. He previously headed the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion as executive director.Read more

  • Judith L. French ‘88 appointed to federal judiciary’s national policy-making body

    Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith L. French ‘88 has been appointed to serve a three-year term on an advisory committee of the federal judiciary’s national policy-making body, the Judicial Conference Advisory Committee on Appellate Rules. She was appointed by U.S. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. on June 13. Her term begins on Oct. 1.Read more

  • Kaminski selected to serve as Center for Democracy & Technology fellow

    Professor Margot Kaminski has been invited to serve as a Fellow of the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) for 2016. A D.C.-based, non-profit, public interest organization, CDT is a leading voice in global internet policy and works to advance the rights of the individual and the constitutional and democratic values of free expression, privacy, and individual liberty. CDT invites roughly 15 leading academics to serve as fellows each year.

  • Shane pens essay on U.S. v. Texas decision for The Atlantic

    Professor Peter M. Shane, the Jacob E. Davis and Jacob E. Davis II Chair in Law, wrote an op-ed for The Atlantic  on U.S. v. Texas, a challenge to the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program that went before the Supreme Court. In the piece, he explained, the questions at the heart of the case weren’t a matter of presidential power, but of ordinary administrative law.Read more
