This multipart conference, to be held at Santa Clara Law on April 13, 2012, The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law on Oct. 26, 2012, and University of Maryland School of Law on March 29, 2013, will explore questions about the relationship between and among race, sexuality, and social justice. These conversations seek to develop new knowledge and fresh scholarship through which deeper understandings of ourselves and others, as well as new pathways for coalition, may emerge. While significantly an academic project, though not exclusively a project in law, this conference aspires to generate concrete interventions to be explored in politics, society, and law toward a more just future.
Part II of the Race, Sexuality and Social Justice conference at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law is a day long event that will feature some of the nation's foremost thinkers on race and sexual equality, holding panel discussion on topics that will interest those concerned with social, political, and legal equality. The present and future of race and sexual equality — including gender and class equality — will be discussed.
