Douglas A. BermanDouglas A. Berman
Robert J. Watkins/Procter & Gamble Professor of Law at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law

Professor Douglas Berman regularly teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Punishment and Sentencing, and Criminal Procedure, and he has offered special seminars on the death penalty and the Second Amendment. Berman attended Princeton University and Harvard Law School. He is the co-author of a casebook, Sentencing Law and Policy: Cases, Statutes and Guidelines. Berman has served as an editor of the Federal Sentencing Reporter, and also now serves as co-managing editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law. Berman is the sole creator and author of the widely-read and widely-cited web log, Sentencing Law and Policy, which receives nearly 100,000 page views per month. His work on the Sentencing Law and Policy blog has been profiled or discussed at length in articles appearing in The Wall Street Journal, Lawyers Weekly USA, Legal Times, and in numerous other print and online publications.

Professor Katherine Hunt Federle teaches Criminal Law, Family Law, Children and the Law, Foster Care Law, and Adoption Law. Professor Federle is admitted to practice in Ohio, Washington, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia, and draws on her extensive experience as a lawyer for children in her teaching and writing. She serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Children's Rights, is the chair of the Ohio State Bar Association Juvenile Law Committee, and has served as a member of the American Bar Association Litigation Section's Children's Rights Committee Working Group. She has been recognized for her work with the American Bar Association Family Law Section, the Children's Rights Committee of the American Bar Association Litigation Section, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
