Law and Capital Markets @ Ohio State

Law and Capital Markets @ Ohio State is a program of The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University. The nonpartisan program aims to further the study of capital markets and corporate law. The program hosts multiple events throughout the year in Columbus and key financial centers. These events generate open and vigorous exchange about the leading problems and issues dealmakers face and are commonly co-sponsored by private organizations.

The Mergers & Acquisitions Roundtable included thought leaders from law firms, investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, academia and government engaged in an open and vigorous exchange of ideas about the top challenges facing dealmakers today.

In 2013, the Mergers & Acquisitions Roundtable was held in New York City on May 14-15 and was co-sponsored by Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Participants included Moritz College of Law faculty and Law and Capital Markets @ Ohio State Executive Director Professors Steven M. Davidoff, and Fellows Paul Rose and Associate Dean Donald B. Tobin. Participants also included Chief Justice Steele, Chancellor Strine and Vice Chancellor Parsons. For a list of conference attendees, see here.

There were two panels at the 2013 M&A Roundtable, one to discuss the state of play in mergers and the other to discuss corporate governance and shareholder activism.
