Law and Capital Markets @ Ohio State is a program of The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University. The nonpartisan program aims to further the study of capital markets and corporate law. The program hosts multiple events throughout the year in Columbus and key financial centers. These events generate open and vigorous exchange about the leading problems and issues dealmakers face and are commonly co-sponsored by private organizations.

Professor Larry Garvin is a scholar in the fields of Contract Law and Entrepreneurial Finance. He co-authored The Law of Entrepreneurial Finance (with D. Gordon Smith) (Aspen 2007), Farnsworth on Contracts (with E. Allan Farnsworth) (3d ed. Supp. 2006), and Secured Transactions and Payment Systems: Problems and Answers (with John F. Dolan et al.) (2d ed. Aspen 2003). He has also been published in the UCLA Law Review, the University of Colorado Law Review, the Ohio State Law Journal, the Boston University Law Review, and the Wake Forest Law Review. Prior to joining the faculty at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Professor Garvin taught and served as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Florida State University College of Law. He also worked as an associate at the Washington, D.C. office of Shea & Gardner and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edward N. Cahn, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Full Bio
