Professors Deason and Stulberg in Spain

Professors Ellen Deason and Josh Stulberg travelled to Bilbao, Spain in December to teach a course in dispute resolution at Deusto University.  The graduate students in the class were from around the globe and many are pursuing a European masters degree in Transnational Trade Law and Finance. 

Professor Deason taught a week of international commercial arbitration in which she introduced students to the process, selection of arbitrators, the role of national and international law in enforcing agreements to arbitrate and arbitral awards, and drafting an arbitration agreements.   Professor Stulberg taught mediation skills with an emphasis on the role of the mediator.  They were joined by professors from Hamline University and Cardozo School of Law. 

Deusto University, which is located just across the river from the Guggenheim museum, teaches classes in Spanish, English, and the Basque language.
