Joe Barsalona (’12) Publishes Bankruptcy Mediation Article in ConsiderChapter13.org

The National Association of Chapter Thirteen Trustees (NACTT) Academy, a non-profit educational corporation that maintains the e-zine ConsiderChapter13.org, recently published an article by The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law graduate Joseph (“Joe”) C. Barsalona II (’12), who is currently Law Clerk to the Hon. Robert N. Opel, II for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

The article, In Re Bankruptcy Law Clerks As Mediators In Consumer Matters: An Effective, Cost-Saving Approach, proposes using law clerks as the sole mediators in consumer bankruptcies. Regina Logsdon, Director of Public Outreach for the NACTT Academy, called the article, “a visionary piece on the future utilization of law clerks as mediators.”

The NACTT Academy, a member based organization, is dedicated to the continuing education of all parties interested in the Chapter 13 arena. Individuals can begin receiving the Academy’s free newsletter by signing up at the NACTT Academy’s website.
