Alexandra Wolfe

Alexandra Wolfe '11

As an undergraduate student at Miami University (Ohio), Alexandra Wolfe '11, planned for her future by pursuing leadership opportunities both in and outside the classroom. She was a researcher for the Undergraduate Summer Scholars, and was a member of the Teach for America corps after graduation.

These and other opportunities broadened her leadership perspectives and made her a perfect candidate for a Leadership Scholarship upon matriculation at Moritz. She was "thrilled...to learn about the myriad of classes, workshops, and speakers that the Program on Law and Leadership" organizes on behalf of the students.

Alexandra has not only been involved with the PLL and attended many workshops and events, she has extended her involvement in leadership opportunities by serving on the staff of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law. As a leadership scholarship recipient, she knew she would seek out the activities that the PLL sponsors.

"Each of these [PLL] events allows students to learn from leaders in the community and learn about themselves. The role of a law student becomes overwhelming and repetitive at times; it is refreshing to remember that at the end of the day our goal is not only to be competent lawyers, but leaders in the community and to continue to work toward positive change. The PLL helps remind students of this ultimate goal and inspires us to keep improving our leadership abilities."
