Alexandra Wolfe
"Each of these [PLL] events allows students to learn from leaders in the community and learn about themselves. The role of a law student becomes overwhelming and repetitive at times; it is refreshing to remember that at the end of the day our goal is not only to be competent lawyers, but leaders in the community and to continue to work toward positive change."

Mentorships

Networking and mentoring are two of the best recognized methods for developing solid leadership and career skills. Students have multiple opportunities to interact with successful lawyer leaders through many PLL programs, as well as the Mentoring & More @ Moritz initiative. These structured interactions provide students with opportunities for close contact with leaders, to ask questions, and discuss issues of leadership and leadership development.

Advising

To help students navigate the multitude of opportunities available at Moritz, students work directly with an advisor who is a faculty member or senior administrator at the law school, to develop an individualized leadership plan based on an individual student's strengths and aspirations. The advisors inform students of opportunities and resources surrounding leadership that are available to them while enrolled at Moritz.

Mentoring and More @ Moritz

The Mentoring and More @ Moritz program offers a series of luncheon events held in the Barrister Club throughout the school year, each featuring a prominent speaker addressing pressing issues and current trends in the law, followed by discussion between mentors, students, faculty and guests. Students expressing an interest in leadership will be grouped together with an alumnus mentor.
