Speaker Series with former Senator Paul Sarbanes

The Program on Law and Leadership welcomes former U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes (MD) as part of its Speaker Series on April 11. In his over 35 years in Congress, Sarbanes was a leader, statesman, and active legislator. He introduced the First Article of Impeachment of Richard Nixon, served on the Senate Select Committee investigating the Iran-Contra affair, was the ranking member of the Senate Whitewater Committee, was one of the principal authors of the National Affordable Housing Act, and authored one of the most sweeping corporate reform measures since the New Deal. He served in the Kennedy administration and had leadership roles in Congress during six different presidential administrations.
Senator Sarbanes will discuss with students his background, law school experience and his many leadership experiences in Congress. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to hear from this great statesman.
