Amy D. Klaben is the President/CEO of Columbus Housing Partnership, Inc. and is responsible for the management and delivery of its Homeport programs. Ms. Klaben oversees the development and implementation of all new construction and rehabilitation of single- and multi-family rental housing and homeownership projects; the homebuyer education and economic literacy programs, including down-payment assistance and foreclosure prevention programs, which serve over 2,500 people annually; asset management of the 2,000-unit rental portfolio which includes Community Life programs, and the AmeriCorps Vista and AmeriCorps programs. Ms. Klaben works closely with senior staff to assure fiscal accountability of the organization. Ms. Klaben also serves as spokesperson for the organization to the media and public officials.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Klaben practiced law at Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur from September 1986 to December 1999 and was a partner for the last four years. Ms. Klaben practiced in the area of real estate and corporate law, with concentrations in commercial and residential transactions, apartment management and financing.

Ms. Kaben serves on the Franklin County Community Development Advisory Committee, JPMorgan Chase National Community Advisory Board, the Ohio Housing Council, the United Way Housing Vision Council, and the Community Housing Capital Board of Directors. She is also a former member of the national Enterprise Foundation Advisory Board.

Ms. Klaben graduated with honors from Capital University (B.A., 1979) and from Northeastern University School of Law (J.D., 1986).
