My First Term In Office with Kathleen Clyde '08
April 19, 2012 | 12:10-11:59 PM | The Barrister Club
This is an invitation-only event.
Ohio Rep. Kathleen Clyde ’08 will join a small group of 18 students for a candid discussion of her first election and first term in office at a luncheon scheduled for 12:10 p.m. April 19 at the Barrister Club.
Clyde, a resident of Kent, Ohio, represents the 68th Ohio House District in the Ohio General Assembly. Following her graduation from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2008 and passing the bar exam that July, Clyde joined the Franklin County Board of Elections. She served as an election official overseeing the setup and operation of the Franklin County early-voting center during the 2008 presidential election. She also worked as deputy legal counsel to then-Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, Armond Budish.
Thereafter, Clyde joined the Kent law firm of Williams, Welser, Kratcoski & Can, L.L.C. The firm focuses on family, real estate, and small-business law.
In November 2010, Clyde won her first run for elective office. She serves as a member of the Finance & Appropriations Committee and its Subcommittee on Higher Education, the State Government & Elections Committee and its Subcommittee on Redistricting, and the Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee.
Because space is limited, a lottery will be conducted to fill seats. If you would like your name added to this lottery, please email Annina Parini at parini.2@osu.edu before noon April 16. You will be notified by email if you name is selected to attend the luncheon.
