About the PILF Auction & Gala

Each year, PILF organizes an Auction to raise funds for the PILF summer fellowship program. Most public interest organizations and government agencies are unable to pay summer legal interns, but these same organizations rely on student work to help them serve thousands of clients and to work on pressing public interest issues. This work is invaluable both to the organization and the students who learn skills they will be able to use throughout their legal careers.

This year's Auction will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Longaberger Alumni House. Doors open at 5:30 PM. The event includes both live and silent auctions, a "Poker with the Profs" tournament, food and drinks, and a great opportunity for students, professors, alumni, and the local legal community to gather and celebrate justice for all!

Examples of past items that have been auctioned off include lunch with an Ohio Supreme Court justice, a football signed by OSU football head coach Jim Tressel, dinner for two at a local restaurant, a week at a beach house in the Virgin Islands, and tickets to a premier sporting event.
