For the thirteenth consecutive year, The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and the University of Georgia Law School are jointly offering one of the few semester-long study abroad opportunities available from American law schools. This 15-week program runs from January through April and is taught at St. Anne’s College, one of the 40 colleges that make up the University of Oxford. The program has been approved for accreditation by the American Bar Association.
Students take four courses and receive 12 semester hours of credit toward their JD degree. Three of the four courses address comparative or international law subjects and are taught in a small group classroom setting. The fourth course is a supervised research tutorial in the Oxford tradition, in which each student will write a lengthy research paper on a comparative or international law topic of their own choosing. The research tutorial and one small group course are taught by members of the law faculty at Oxford. The other two small group courses will be taught by a law professor from Georgia.
