Barbara Peck joined Moritz in 2007 with extensive experience in both law and communications. Barbara previously worked in Washington, D.C., for both the American College of Surgeons and American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) in legislative and regulatory affairs. During this time, Barbara used her legal and public relations skills to advocate for issues including medical liability reform, Medicare physician payment, pay-for-performance, and specialty on-call coverage.

Barbara graduated in the top 15 percent of her class at Case Western Reserve University Law School and was involved in Moot Court. She served as an extern for The Honorable Karen Nelson Moore of the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Prior to attending law school, Barbara worked in Chicago as the communications manager for the AANS, a marketing communications specialist for a local hospital, and a general assignment reporter for Copley News Service. While an undergraduate at Ohio State, Barbara was the first female sports editor of The Lantern student newspaper. Throughout her career, Barbara has published more than 1,000 articles in a host of different publications.

Callie is a writer in the communications department at Moritz. She writes feature articles and profiles for a variety of publications including All Rise, SideBar, and Amicus.  While a law student, Callie worked as a law clerk for The Ohio State University Office of Legal Affairs, Cuyahoga County Public Defender's Office, and the Student Housing Clinic.  Callie is currently based in Washington, D.C.

Catie is a writer in the communications department at Moritz. She writes alumni profiles and feature articles for a variety of publications, including All Rise, SideBar, and Amicus.  While is law school, Catie was the managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. She worked as a court mediator for the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, and as a law clerk for the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and Pomerantz and Crosby.  Prior to law school, Catie was a staff writer for The Post in Athens, OH. She is currently based in Cleveland.

Monica DeMeglio is a former journalist who joined Mortiz in 2011. As a reporter and editor with Gannett Co., Inc., she covered local government, crime, education, business and features in Central Ohio and Palm Springs, Calif. She has received awards for investigative journalism and defense of the First Amendment from The Associated Press and The Ohio Society of Professional Journalists. Monica is an alumna of The Ohio State University’s journalism program, and served as campus editor and news editor of The Lantern.
