Can a student organization discriminate on the basis of religion or sexual orientation? Members of the Moritz College of Law Christian Legal Society argue that if they're forced to accept students who don't share their fundamental beliefs, their rights are being violated.
Join Erin Moriarty '77, legal correspondent for CBS News, and learn about this clash at Ohio State and other campuses over freedom of religion and equal protection under the law. Participants consider the human dynamics and legal issues that emerge when competing claims about constitutional rights regarding freedom of religion and equal protection shape the development of university policy governing student organizations.
Participants include:
- David Goldberger, Professor, Moritz College of Law
- Daniel Tokaji, Professor, Moritz College of Law
- William Hall, Vice President, The Ohio State University, Office of Student Affairs
