The Michael F. Colley Trial Competition, an annual interscholastic trial advocacy competition, ended with 2Ls Jason Grenell and Cory Helffrich narrowly defeating a 3L team in the final round Sunday.
In the final round, Grenell and Helffrich represented the plaintiff in a defamation case before Professor Robert Krivoshey, who provided the competition problem and acted as presiding judge in the semifinal and final rounds. The team edged out a victory over 3Ls Olivia Bumb and Angel Lisinski.
The competition is named for Michael F. Colley ’61.
