Tim Meager is a Buckeye through and through, and his quiet leadership, trusted manner, and exceptional work ethic have not gone unnoticed. Meager, the Director of Finance and Administration at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, was recently honored with the University Distinguished Staff Award. The award is presented annually to only 12 of the more than 20,000 staff members at Ohio State for exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and service to the University.

In his current role, Meager works daily with administration, faculty, staff, and students at Moritz. He also regularly collaborates with units across campus and is well-known for providing trusted counsel and assistance when called upon.

“Tim performs his job at the highest level of skill,” said Alan C. Michaels, dean and Edwin M. Cooperman Professor of Law. “What makes Tim Meager even more special is his ability to exceed expectations – to act as a strategic thinker, problem-solver and teacher of colleagues. He has the characteristic Midwestern modesty, team orientation, and loyalty that leads to extraordinary results without publicity of his role.”

In his 25 years at Ohio State, Meager has worked for Moritz, the Wexner Center, the Office of the Provost, and the Office of Business and Finance. Meager holds both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting and a master’s degree in public policy and management from Ohio State.

Meager will be honored on the field during the football game against the University of Wisconsin on October 29, 2011 in Ohio Stadium.
