Professor Peter Shane Speaks to National Press Club

Prof. Shane
Professor Shane was an expert presenter at a National Press Club press conference Thursday, Jan. 8 entitled "Mechanics of Quick Change." Shane, the Jacob E. Davis and Jacob E. Davis II Chair in Law, and other speakers discussed the processes immediately available to President-Elect Obama, once inaugurated, to shift gears quickly from the policy directions of the Bush Administration. The conference was sponsored by the American Constitution Society.

Professor Shane was recently named to the transition team for President-elect Obama and Vice-President-elect Joe Biden. He served as "team lead" for review of the International Trade Commission.
Professor Shane, who joined The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2003, served as an attorney advisor in the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel and in the Office of Management and Budget, before entering full-time teaching in 1981.
