Amy Tulk and Tom Oakley
An Ohio State University Moritz College of Law moot court team recently clinched a regional championship of the ABA’s Representation in Mediation Competition. 3Ls Tom Oakley and Amy Tulk managed to defeat a student team from Marquette University Sunday at the competition, which was hosted by Moritz in Columbus. As regional champs, Tom and Amy will represent Moritz at the ABA's National Representation in Mediation Competition during the 10th Annual ABA Section of Dispute Resolution Spring Conference. The meeting and competition are in Seattle from April 3-5. Oakley, of San Francisco, is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy. Tulk, of West Chester, Pa., received her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University.
The team of 3Ls Avonte Campinha-Bacote and CJ Willey were runners-up in Moritz's intra-school mediation competition and continued their strong showing at the regional competition. 3Ls Michelle Mann and Geoffrey Kudlo performed well after spending just a week preparing. Mann and Kudlo joined the competition late to replace another school’s team that had dropped out.
Moritz's Program on Dispute Resolution would like to congratulate the Moritz students that participated in the competition. Thank you also to the coaches Marya Kolman, Dottie Painter, and the student assistant coaches Cat Woltering and Laura Drongowski, whose dedication and generosity with their time prepared Moritz's participants. Thank you also to Professor Anne Doyle, the Moritz Moot Court Governing Board, and Mediations Competitions Justice Matt Hannahan whose work made this opportunity possible for the competition’s participants.
