Imwinkelreid, Walt Visit at Moritz Law
Ed Imwinkelreid and Steven D. Walt visit Moritz this year

Steven D. Walt and Ed Imwinkelried have joined the Moritz College of Law faculty as visiting professors. Walt is the Sullivan & Cromwell Research Professor of Law at the University of Virginia. Imwinkelried is the Edward L. Barrett, Jr. Professor of Law at the University of California, Davis.
Walt teaches contracts, sales/commercial paper, legal philosophy, bankruptcy, and secured transactions. A cum laude graduate of Kalamazoo College, he holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Chicago. He earned his J.D. from Yale in 1988 and was an associate professor at the University of San Diego for three years.
He is a member of the American Society for Political and Legal Philosophy and serves on the editorial board of Legal Theory.
A leading authority in the area of expert testimony and forensic science, Imwinkelried is the author of Evidentiary Foundations (6th ed. 2005), The New Wigmore: Evidentiary Privileges (2002), and Uncharged Misconduct Evidence (rev.ed. 1999).
He is the coauthor of McCormick, Evidence (6th ed. 2006), Courtroom Criminal Evidence (4th ed. 2005), and Scientific Evidence (3d ed. 1999).
He is the expert testimony columnist for National Law Journal and a forensic science contributing editor for Criminal Law Bulletin. He has both B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of San Francisco.
