Justice Scalia To Deliver Keynote Address at Moritz Nov. 17
(November 5, 2009) - On Tuesday, Nov. 17, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia will deliver a keynote address at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Scalia’s speech will culminate a daylong symposium entitled “Originalism and the Jury,” organized by the Ohio State Law Journal and cosponsored by the Moritz College of Law and the University of Illinois College of Law.

(November 3, 2009) - The Open House is an informational session designed to provide you with the opportunity to visit the Moritz College of Law and meet with members of the college's Admissions Office. In addition, representatives from the Financial Aid and Career Services offices will be on hand to answer any additional questions you may have regarding those areas. (October 5, 2009) - On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Ohio State University Moritz College of Law Professor Deborah Jones Merritt argued a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. The court, in Reed Elsevier v. Muchnick, is expected to determine whether a provision in the Copyright Act prevents federal jurisdiction for claims of unregistered copyrights. Professor Merritt, who argued for the first time before the U.S. Supreme Court, was hand-selected by the Court to defend the lower court ruling.
Commission Directed by Prof. Shane Releases Findings
(October 2, 2009) - Moritz Professor Peter M. Shane and the blue-ribbon commission for which he was executive director released a report today in Washington, D.C., setting forth a new vision for healthy, informed, democratic communities.
Admissions representatives traveling the country this fall
(September 28, 2009) - Each fall, representatives from the Moritz College of Law will visit college campuses and Law School Forums across the country.
Applications for Fall 2010 Admission Now Being Accepted
(September 15, 2009) - The Moritz College of Law is currently accepting applications for early decision and regular admissions for Fall 2010 admission. Each first-year class consists of approximately 220-230 students. Enrollment is limited to full-time study and new law students may begin only in the autumn semester. It is important to note that while The Ohio State University runs on a quarter system, the law school runs on a semester system, starting in August and ending in May each year.
