Ohio State Announces New Legal English Summer Program

Posted on March 3, 2014

We are pleased to announce a 3-week intensive language and culture program for incoming LL.M. students being offered by the Combined ESL Programs in partnership with the Moritz College of Law. The program will offer 3 hours of English/academic preparation each morning and 2 hours of legal English instruction in order to help students be better equipped to succeed in the LL.M. Program. The classes will introduce students to the kinds of classroom environments and legal assignments they will encounter at the Moritz College of Law.

The Law Bridge Program will meet for 5 hours a day from July 30 to August 15. Admitted students will be highly encouraged to enroll in this optional course and arrive in Columbus starting on July 27. The Moritz College of Law new student orientation will take place from August 18-22 with law classes formally starting on Monday, August 25. Housing/meals will be available in OSU residence halls for the duration of the program, with students being able to move out into their permanent housing arrangements as these become available.

By arriving early, you will become familiar with your new home – OSU and Columbus – and accustomed to the academic environment you can expect at Moritz. You will also be able to start enjoying the wide variety of academic, art, culture, sport and recreation activities offered on campus.
