Circulation Student Assistant

Description

Assists in circulation duties, including assisting patrons in person or on the phone; re-shelves books and journals; maintains book stacks; searches for books and retrieves paged books from book stacks; assists with opening and closing the library; provides information regarding Law Library’s policies and procedures.; other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have basic knowledge of computers and have ability to work well with public, faculty and students.  Previous customer service experience desirable.  All training is provided.

Pay

$8.10 per hour

Election Law Research Assistant

Position Description

The Research Assistant assists the Moritz Law Library in tracking election and voting-related cases from around the country for the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law’s Election Law @ Moritz center. The Research Assistant primarily is responsible for creating and maintaining case pages on the Election Law @ Moritz website.

The position typically involves 5-10 hours per week with flexible hours. Working through the academic year is a possibility.

Qualifications

This position is open to law students as well as high-performing undergraduate students with an interest in law, elections, voting rights, and other related topics. Strong communication skills, the ability to effectively summarize issues in cases, and great attention to detail are necessary.
