Entrepreneurs and Executives Series with Ikove Venture Partners

The Law, Finance and Governance @ Ohio State program’s Entrepreneurs and Executives Series welcomes Ikove Venture partners, who will discuss the basics of startup law practice and management of early stage companies, including commercialization of early stage technologies originating in universities and other research institutions, business incubation and the startup community in central Ohio.
Erica Waite is the CEO for Ikove Venture Partners. Erica previously served as the Director of Market Intelligence and Commercialization Strategy Services for the Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (TEC) Institute. She has worked on the funding, development, and commercialization of university technologies for over ten years. She works closely with inventors, clients, advisors, and industry contacts to plan and execute commercialization projects of various levels of complexity. Erica holds a Master of Science degree in Pathology from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University. She also has an MBA from OSU’s Fisher College of Business with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and New Business Ventures.
David Moritz is General Counsel at Ikove Venture Partners, and also serves as corporate counsel for several of its startups. He studied law at The Ohio State University, and is licensed to practice law in Ohio and California. David has experience in startup law, intellectual property, and civil litigation. Before joining Ikove, David worked with The Ohio State University’s Technology Commercialization Office and in private practice.
