Melanie Kushnir currently serves as Assistant Staff Counsel to the American Bar Association Center for Pro Bono, in Chicago, Illinois. In that capacity, she provides ongoing support to law school administrators, faculty, and students nationwide regarding the development and implementation of pro bono and public interest programs. She has also served as Assistant Director of Career Services at the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Following her graduation from the Moritz College of Law in May 2000, Ms. Kushnir began employment with the Cook County Office of Public Guardian, in the dual role of attorney and guardian-ad litem. Ms. Kushnir counts her experience with the Justice for Children Project was one of the most beneficial and rewarding experiences she had during law school.
