Financial Aid
Loan Assistance
Loans are readily available to Ohio State law students who are enrolled at least half time and who have no record of default on previous educational loans. Loans are provided by a variety of sources: the federal government (the Stafford and Graduate PLUS Loans), and private lenders. Students who borrow loans to finance their legal education should be fully aware of the terms of the loans and the impact repayment will have on their choice of careers and post-graduation lifestyle.
Loans for law students cannot be awarded beyond the maximum Student Budget (less grants and scholarships). Law students who need to borrow beyond the amount permitted by the Student Budget must go through an appeal process.
