Alumni and students, especially those who have served or are serving in the military, are invited to a special event on April 5 announcing the creation of the Captain Jonathan D. Grassbaugh Veterans Project at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Capt. Jonathan D. Grassbaugh was killed in action on April 7, 2007 in Zaganiyah, Iraq. His personal motto was non sibi, which means “not for oneself.” He believed with all of his heart in selfless service and in reaching out to help those less fortunate.
His legacy will carry on in perpetuity thanks to his wife, Capt. Jenna C. Grassbaugh, a member of the Moritz College of Law’s Class of 2014 and founder of the Captain Jonathan D. Grassbaugh Veterans Project.
The Grassbaugh Veterans Project will help veterans facing myriad issues – financial crises, landlord-tenant disputes, foreclosures, and other issues that often require an attorney’s help to reach a solution expeditiously. Under the supervision of qualified lawyers, Ohio State law students will work with these clients who have served their country heroically. The program begins operation fall semester.
Details about the program will be shared at a special announcement event at 3:30 p.m. April 5 in the William B. Saxbe Law Auditorium, located in Drinko Hall at 55 W. 12th Ave. A reception will follow immediately afterward at Lou’s Café. To register for the event, click here.
