Professor Stephanie Hoffer joined The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law faculty in 2008 after serving as a visiting assistant professor in taxation at the Northwestern University School of Law. She previously served as a law clerk for Judge Alice M. Batchelder of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and following graduation from law school, she joined the tax department of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. She received her LL.M. in taxation from the New York University School of Law.
Professor Hoffer’s research interests include international and comparative taxation, tax exempt and governmental entities, and commercial transactions. She has presented her work both at home and abroad and won the John Minor Wisdom Award for best lead article in the Tulane Law Review.
Professor Hoffer teaches International Taxation, Tax Policy, and Contracts.
