Louis A. Jacobs, Professor of Law Emeritus, has written or co-authored books on evidence, civil rights litigation, age discrimination, and equal employment opportunity law. Professor Jacobs served on the Professional Ethics Committee of the Columbus Bar Association and the Labor & Employment Law Specialty Certification Board of the Ohio State Bar Association. Professor Jacobs is a voluntary cooperating attorney with, and has twice served as, the general counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio.

Prior to joining the tenure track faculty, Professor Jacobs spent two years as a Supervising Attorney in the College’s Clinical Programs. He was also an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio for two years, serving as Senior Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Section. For more than a decade, he had been recognized in Best Lawyers in America under Employment Law – Plaintiff.
