The Honorable Chelsey Vascura serves on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  She was appointed as  Federal Magistrate Judge in 2017.  Prior to that she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Elizabeth Preston Deavers and also for the Honorable George C. Smith, both of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  Prior to clerking, she practiced law at Vorys, Sater, Seymour, and Pease LLP, where her practice focused on civil litigation.  She is a member of the Southern District of Ohio Local Rules Committee and serves on the boards of the Federal Bar Association and the Ohio Lawyer’s Assistance Program.  Judge Vascura has previously taught Pretrial Litigation as an adjunct professor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.  She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Moritz College of Law and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Bethany College.
