Brian Sawers is a visiting assistant professor, teaching Property Law in the Spring 2014 semester.
Professor Sawers received his A.B. from Duke University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
After law school he worked as a foreign lawyer for Schoenherr Rechtsanwälte in Slovenia until he returned to Harvard as a Teaching Fellow and then as a Research Fellow. He taught as an O’Connor Fellow at the Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and most recently was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law.
His scholarship has appeared in journals at Columbia, Michigan, Minnesota, Temple, Nebraska, and the peer-reviewed Law and History Review.
