Professor Braunstein ranked second in his class and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Law Review. He joined the Ohio State faculty in 1986 to teach Property, Real Estate Finance, and Natural Resources. Previously he taught at the University of Wyoming and the University of California at Los Angeles.
Professor Braunstein is the author of a number of articles dealing with economic analysis of the law and a book on natural resources law. His primary current research interests are real estate finance and a special study of the residential real estate market. He is also the co-compiler of the Law Line data base, an online data base of the curriculum and other pertinent information about every American law school.
Professor Braunstein's activities include serving as a lecturer for the Ohio Continuing Legal Education Institute, director of Columbus Neighborhood Assistance Design Center, and trustee of the Eastern Mineral Law Foundation.
Prior to entering teaching, he practiced law for seven years and was a partner in law firms in both San Francisco and New Orleans.
