Barbara R. Snyder is no longer at the Moritz College of Law.

Barbara R. Snyder, Executive Vice President and Provost, is the chief academic officer of The Ohio State University. Professor Snyder served as Executive Editor of the Chicago Law Review.

Following law school, she clerked for Judge Luther M. Swygert of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and practiced with the firm of Sidley & Austin in Chicago.

In 1983, she joined the law faculty at Case Western Reserve University, moving to Ohio State in 1988.

Professor Snyder is the co-author of Ohio Evidence (West Group) and the Ohio Rules of Evidence Handbook (West Group), both with Giannelli. She teaches Evidence, Family Law, and Constitutional Law and co-teaches Defense Clinic.
