Professor Greenbaum teaches in the areas of Civil Procedure and Professional Responsibility. He joined the faculty in 1980 after practicing in Washington, D.C. with the law firm of Hogan and Hartson. Professor Greenbaum attended law school at the University of Virginia and did his undergraduate work at Yale. At Virginia he was the Research and Projects Editor of the Virginia Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

Professor Greenbaum’s scholarship has included pieces in the areas of Administrative Law, Civil Procedure, Professional Responsibility, and Placement, but his current work focuses on Professional Responsibility issues. His most recent work includes pieces on judicial reporting of lawyer misconduct to disciplinary authorities, and multijurisdictional practice. He also is the co-author of a treatise on the Ohio law of professional responsibility with the Jones Day law firm.

Professor Greenbaum has served on the board of the Ohio CLE Institute, the Ohio State Bar Association CLE Advisory Committee and the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on the Certification of Attorneys as Specialists. He presently is a member of the Columbus Bar Association Ethics and Grievance Committee and the publications board of the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility. He also is the faculty advisor for, and a board member of, the Ohio Public Interest Foundation.
