Prior to joining the Moritz faculty, Professor Rose was the Visiting Assistant Professor in Securities and Finance at Northwestern University School of Law.

Before joining Northwestern, Professor Rose practiced law in the corporate and securities practice group of Covington & Burling's San Francisco office. He worked as an assistant trader in equity and emerging market derivatives at Citibank, N.A. in New York prior to attending law school.

During law school, Professor Rose served as chief articles editor of the UCLA Law Review and received the Benjamin Aaron Award, Morris Greenspan Memorial Prize, and Dorothy Schramm World Affairs Student Writing Award for outstanding scholarship.

Professor Rose's research interests include corporate governance, securities regulation, institutional investors, and comparative corporate law. His recent article "Balancing the Benefits and Burdens of Securities Regulation for Smaller Companies Post Sarbanes-Oxley" was selected to appear in the Securities Law Review 2007, an annual publication reprinting the 8-10 best articles in the field, as determined by the editor.

In 2007-2008, Professor Rose taught Securities Regulation and Business Associations.
