Arizona Experiencing Confusion at Polls

The Arizona Republic reports voters being turned away from the polls or forced to vote provisional ballots. The extent of the problem is unclear. Appeals court OKs group's challenge to touch-screen voting

Critics who contend that touch-screen voting machines are not reliable will get a chance to make their case in court. The Arizona Court of Appeals unanimously rejected arguments by attorneys for the secretary of state and county election officials on Tuesday that the decision to certify machines manufactured by Diebold Elections Systems and Sequoia Voting Systems cannot be challenged.

Arizona voter registration grows to nearly 3.1 million

From last November's election through April 1, voter registration rose by more than 100,000 people, or 3.4 percent, according to figures from the Arizona Secretary of State.
