Reeves likes Election Day registration bill
State Rep. Peggy Reeves argued in support of a bill she sponsored allowing voters to register on Election Day, the Wilton Democrat’sr press office reports. House Bill, An Act Concerning Election Day Registration and Presidential Ballot Procedures, passed the Connecticut House of Representatives 81-65 after a six-hour debate.

Ray Hackett: Let citizens decide issue of early voting
OPINION: Under state law, there are very specific criteria that have to be met in order to vote by absentee ballot. The proposals in front of the legislature effectively eliminate those criteria, allowing anyone to vote early without first providing an “excuse” of why they can’t vote on Election Day.
