Minnesota election contest - Class certification denied, Franken's motion for summary judgment granted in part, denied in part
The Coleman v. Franken contest court tonight, in response to Franken's Jan. 21 motion for summary judgment on certain claims, ordered that 12 more ballots be opened and counted in Minnesota's Senate race and that more evidence is needed before summary judgment may be granted as to the validity of other ballots. The original motion for summary judgment is here. The court also tonight denied certification of a class that would have included all absentee voters whose ballots were rejected. See that order here.
