Ballot chain of custody an issue in Minnesota Senate race
This weekend, Coleman was denied a request to exclude 32 ballots that had been kept in an election worker's car for several days. He has since accepted the assurances of the city of Minneapolis officials that the ballots were never unaccounted for. Additionally, the campaigns are negotiating "neutral standards for ballot security" but, it is not clear what affect any agreement between the candidates will have on election officials' actions during the counting and recounting of ballots.
