Order Issued in VA Military Ballot Case
A temporary restraining order has been issued by Judge Williams on the McCain UOCAVA case. Under this order, all absentee ballots received after 7 p.m. will be retained by local election officials with appropriate documentation. Both sides are given an opportunity to respond to this order and a hearing will be held on November 10th. Judge Williams is preserving the option of accepting late military ballots until a hearing can be held on this matter on November 10th. There is no final decision in this case at this time.
