NAACP files suit in Virginia
The Virginia NAACP filed suit yesterday (10/27) in federal district court against Virginia Governer Tim Kaine. The suit alleges that the state has not provided enough resources to accomodate an expected record turnout in next week's presidential election. The suit asks the court to require the state to move voting machines to locations likely to have long lines, keep polls open an extra two hours, and to use paper ballots in certain cases.
