Brad Cromes serves as the Deputy Director of the Board of Elections in Portage County, Ohio. In addition to his duties with the Board, he is an active member of the Legislative Committee and Co-Chair of the Education Committee of the Ohio Association of Election Officials, where he is responsible in part for developing and maintaining Ohio-specific education programming for election officials and proposing and reviewing election-related legislation.

Before joining the Board of Elections, Cromes served as a member of the Ohio Democratic Party’s Promote the Vote Steering Committee, where his duties focused primarily on developing voter education materials for college students and recruiting polling place observers for targeted precincts. During law school, he was elected president of the National Democratic Law Students’ Council, and completed an internship in the office of Gov. Ted Strickland through the Legislation Clinic. His Moritz involvement also included serving as Vice President of PILF, and participation in the Law and Leadership Program and Mentoring and More @ Moritz. He graduated from Ohio State in December 2010, and earned a M.A. in public policy and management from the John Glenn School of Public Affairs earlier that year.
