Choi Presents at Computer Science and Law Conference May 24-25, 2016: Professor Choi presented on “Security and Privacy in Cyber-Physical Systems” at the University of Pennsylvania Law School Roundtable on Computer Science and the Law.

Parasidis Presents at ‘Big Data, Health Law & Bioethics Conference’ May 6, 2016: Professor Parasidis presented “The Future of Pharmacovigilance: Big Data as Fraud Enabler and Fraud Detector” at the Harvard Law School annual conference on Big Data, Health Law, and Bioethics.

Hirsch Presents at Indiana University Conference Apr. 8-9, 2016: Director Hirsch attended the Indiana University-Bloomington “Law and Ethics of Big Data” conference to present “Big Data is a Crystal Ball: On Data, the Power of Prediction, and the FTC’s Unfairness Authority.”

Choi joins University of Maryland Privacy Symposium April 1, 2016: Professor Choi presented his research on “A Privilege Against Cell-Phone Incrimination” on a panel at at the University of Maryland Law School Bulk Data Collection and Personal Privacy Symposium.

Hirsch attends final face-to-face meeting of the Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee as reporter Feb. 26-27, 2016: Director Hirsch attended the sixth and final face-to-face meeting of the Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee for the Employee and Student Online Privacy Protection Act in Dallas. He has served as the reporter for the project for two years.

Hirsch Moderates Privacy Law Salon Seminar Feb. 8-9 2016: Director Hirsch moderated a seminar on “New Directions in Privacy Law” as an invited “Google Fellow” at the Privacy Law Salon in Miami, Florida.
