Career Services Announces New Program to Benefit Students and Employers

Career Services is launching a new initiative, Moritz Short-term Assistance Registry (STAR). STAR is designed to provide private-sector employers a pool of qualified second- and third-year students and graduates from the class of 2011 to hire for assistance with short-term projects. The intent of the program is to provide students and recent graduates interested in firm or corporate counsel work an opportunity to get some practice experience. Such projects may include:

  • Document review
  • Research and writing
  • Updating state regulations
  • Assisting with writing articles or updating firm newsletters
  • Updating firm web site
  • Filing court documents

Employers are being asked to submit requests for projects to the Career Services Office.  The employers have the choice of being assigned a student based on availability and stated requirements or selecting from the pool of applicants. Career Services staff will serve as a clearinghouse for job matches but will have no input on the applicants chosen.

If you are interested, please e-mail the following information to Ebony Mobley at mobley.26@osu.edu.
