Public Sector Interview Program & Opportunity Forum

The Public Sector Interview Program brings together a number of public interest and public service employers seeking interns for the summer or for the school year,  or volunteers to work in their offices.

Examples of public sector employers who have participated in the past include The Legal Aid Society of Columbus, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, Franklin County Public Defender’s Office, Ohio Consumers’ Counsel, Equal Justice Foundation, Industrial Commission of Ohio, Ohio Poverty Law Center, Ohio Department of Mental Health, U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the Franklin County Common Pleas Court.

On-Campus Interviews

Interviews will take place, full or half days, in February. Using Symplicity you will be able to view the employers attending and apply for open summer, school year, permanent, paid, or volunteer positions in government, non-profit and legal service organizations.

Opportunity Forum

Opportunity Forum  will be held from noon-1 p.m. for one day in February at the Barrister Club. This session is similar to a traditional job fair, organizations that may or may not have open positions for law students send representatives to connect with interested students. They can answer questions about their organization and how law students can become involved. Students should bring copies of their resume.  Business attire recommended. Registration is not required for this event. Please direct questions to Cybele Smith at smith.302@osu.edu.
